Electromechanical Assembler
Tempt to hire
Pay rate: $18.90 - $25.20/hr based on years of electromechanical experience.
1st shift: 5:30 AM – 2 PM
JOB SUMMARY
Works under general supervision and is responsible for work output. On a production basis, performs electronic and electromechanical assembly and subassembly work. Semi-repetitive to repetitive-type work. May make simple decisions but must generally follow well established precedents.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
An individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Good understanding of ESD controls, resistance welding, working under microscopes, soldering, epoxy mixing, bonding, assembly and packaging techniques, as well as handling of classified assemblies.
- Working under the microscopes for long periods of time;
- Handling of small parts and piezoelectric crystals;
- Intermediate cable harness and PCB assembly techniques;
- Intermediate mechanical assembly of small parts;
- Ability to read basic blueprints and work instructions;
- High voltage potting and high voltage testing
QUALIFICATIONS
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required for the position.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
LEVEL 3
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and three (3) or more years of related electronics assembly experience. J-STD-001 Certification preferred.
The company must be able to obtain a Security Clearance. Must be a US Citizen.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
LEVEL 2
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively in English.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
LEVEL 1
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American currency, weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY
LEVEL 1
Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed, but uninvolved, written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

COMPUTER SKILLS
Basic computer skills will be needed to log into work orders, access time cards, and log workorders for special process.
TOOLS/EQUIPMENT USED ON THE JOB
Must be able to operate winding/braiding machinery, torque wrenches, digital multi-meters, up to 12kv Hipot, solder irons, cutters, wire strippers, crimpers, heat guns, common hand tools and the use of a microscope.
