Compensation: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour (W2)

Schedule: Must be available to work any 8-hour shift between 6:00am and 6:00pm

Our client is a growing organization in the transportation and logistics industry seeking a Dispatch Coordinator to support daily dispatch operations and help the team meet monthly service and delivery goals. This role plays a key part in coordinating freight, supporting drivers, and ensuring accurate data entry and communication across internal teams and customers.

Job Description

The Dispatch Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to the dispatch team, ensuring freight loads are scheduled, entered, and communicated accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Answer inbound calls and emails related to company policies, procedures, and services
• Enter freight loads into a load management system for dispatch
• Dispatch loads to drivers and assist with route planning
• Schedule delivery appointments to meet customer requirements
• Verify shipping and receiving hours, contact information, and scheduling processes for all trip locations
• Enter orders into an accounting system and perform general data entry
• Respond to driver inquiries regarding load details, routing, and contact information
• Handle overflow calls from dispatch and customer service teams
• Prepare documents, spreadsheets, and reports as needed
• Provide administrative support to dispatch leadership and executive staff

Qualifications: Required

• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain calm in a fast paced environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to initiate and manage phone calls with customers and drivers
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• High level of professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment when handling confidential information
• Reliable attendance and dependability

Preferred

• Prior administrative or dispatch experience
• Customer service experience
• Basic knowledge of the trucking or transportation industry
• Basic understanding of accounting principles
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and or Microsoft Office; experience with QuickBooks is a plus
• Ability to quickly learn new systems and software
