Pay: $45-$53/hour + $178 daily stipend (for full 8-hour workdays)
Hours: 60/60/50 hour rotation - overtime opportunities available
Location: Brentwood, Tennessee
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly qualified Safety Manager to oversee safety operations on a large-scale construction project in Brentwood, TN. This role requires a proven safety professional who can ensure compliance with all OSHA standards, company safety programs, and site-specific requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong field experience, exceptional leadership skills, and a proactive approach to promoting a culture of safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies and procedures on-site
- Conduct job site inspections, hazard analyses, and safety audits
- Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and site orientations
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
- Maintain OSHA and company documentation and reporting standards
- Collaborate with site leadership and subcontractors to maintain compliance
Required Qualifications
Candidates must possess at least one of the following certifications or credentials:
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
- Associate Safety Professional (ASP)
- Construction Health and Safety Technologist (CHST)
- Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST)
- Graduate or Chartered Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH)
- Safety Trained Supervisor - Construction (STS-C)
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) or a related field
Preferred
- OSHA 500 Trainer Certification
Additional Requirements
- Must pass a 10-panel drug test and background check prior to employment
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
- Experience managing safety programs in heavy construction or industrial settings
Compensation & Schedule
- Pay: $45-$53 per hour (based on experience and credentials)
- Stipend: $178/day worked (8-hour minimum)
