Description
This is a Technical Designer to support a fast-paced and highly creative design pipeline. The Technical Designer will provide critical support from sketch through sample development, ensuring design intent and fit standards are maintained while acting as a liaison with overseas vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize fit samples by season, lead in fittings, document/post fit updates to the China team
- Maintain fitting logs, track sample status, and follow up on proto/sample deadlines
- Create/correct CADs, flats, line sheets in Illustrator; build/update tech packs and specs
- Partner with Design, Production, and overseas factories to troubleshoot construction and resolve sample issues
- Build and maintain tracking docs, fitting logs, and seasonal updates in Excel; ensure timely, accurate communication across teams
Key Qualifications
- 5 years+ of experience in fashion/technical design or product development
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator (quick, accurate CADs) and strong Excel skills for tracking
- Knowledge of garment construction, grading/measurements, and fit processes; experience supporting or leading fittings a plus
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for Selkie's whimsical, imaginative aesthetic
