Inventory Planner

Our client, a leading global company in the logistics and fulfillment industry, is seeking a Inventory Planner III to work onsite Everett, WA.
Job Summary:
In this role you will be responsible for processing materials to support our customer, the satellite production team. You will also interact with peer teams such as procurement, planning, quality, and EHS to ensure our processes result in positive outcomes for these teams. You should be comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying workloads and in various paths. In this role you are the bedrock of the operation and over time may learn to operate many different functions within the warehouse. You will start with one of the following paths and grow over time; Receive, Put-Away, Pick or Kit.

Pay: $28.00-$30.00/hr - based on experience

Priority Shift Opportunities
- Back Half Night Shift (BHN) Wed-Sat 5pm-3:30am
- Front Half Night Shift (FHN) Sun-Wed 5pm-3:30am
- Front Half Day Shift (FHD) Sun-Wed 6am-4:30pm
- Back Half Day Shift (BHD) Wed-Sat 6am-4:30pm
Limited Shift Opportunities
- Donut Night Shift (M,Tu,Th,F) 5pm-3:30am
- Swing Day Shift (M-F) 10am-6:30pm
Location: Everett, WA 98203
Contract Duration: 9 months, possible extension
Responsibilities:
- Accurately and efficiently handle material for both production and development efforts.
- Use proprietary software and SAP ERP systems to virtually transact material.
- Document system issues, process flaws and inefficiencies.
- Communicating with quality control, purchasing and other related departments to resolve problems.
- Efficiently move material between sites, both physically and virtually.
- Identify training needs for the team and assist in the training of new-hires and junior peers.
- Meet safety, productivity and quality standards by following best practices.
- Resolve individual work blockers and know when to escalate if you are unable to resolve yourself.
- Operate equipment including: forklifts, pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, and hand carts.
- Contribute to the improvement of SOPs including safety procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in an inventory specialist-inventory control related role
- Prior assembly/production experience
- Must be flexible and be team-oriented
- Possess good written and oral communication skills
- Proficient in Excel
- Experience with inventory management programs (SAP, Oracle or Salesforce preferred)
- Steel toe shoes are required
- High school diploma or GED required
