Chemical Technician
Description
A globally leading consumer device company based in Santa Clara, CA is looking for a Chemical Technician to join their team. You will support wafer fabrication operations by maintaining chemical systems during the swing shift hours (2pm -10:30 pm). This role ensures proper chemical levels, safe handling of hazardous materials, accurate inventory tracking, and seamless communication between shifts to maintain continuous laboratory operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform chemical top-offs, repours, and tank draining to maintain proper chemical levels
- Track and respond to daily, weekly, and on-demand requests
- Accurately document activities using designated software systems
- Manage chemical inventory, including storage, handling, and disposal
- Ensure compliance with hazardous materials and safety procedures
- Communicate effectively with other shifts to ensure continuity of laboratory services
Key Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience handling chemicals in a wafer fabrication or semiconductor manufacturing environment
- Strong familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts
- Proficient with spreadsheets (e.g., Excel or similar tools)
- Ability to lift at least 15 lbs
- Comfortable working with hazardous materials while following strict safety protocols
- Associate's degree
Type: Contract
Duration: 12 months with extension
Work Location: Santa Clara, CA (100% On site)
Pay Rate: $ 37.00 - $ 52.00 (DOE)
