About the Team
Our Resilience & Incident Management team is preparing the business for scale. We create and maintain policies and standards for how the company prepares for and responds to events and incidents - both proactively and reactively—such as collisions, physical security events, adverse weather, civil unrest, or cybersecurity. We also manage an event taxonomy that maps intake sources to triggers, response decisions, and actions, clearly defining stakeholder roles across the business.
We operate as an enterprise function and partner closely with Operations, Security, Product & Engineering, Legal, and Communications.
About the Role
The Operations Manager will play a key role in defining and documenting policies and standards for how the organization prepares for and responds to incidents that may impact people, assets, or business continuity. This role requires a strong communicator who can simplify and synthesize information from diverse stakeholders into clear, actionable documentation.
What You’ll Do
- Write policy, standards, and response plans for various types of events and incidents.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define roles & responsibilities and drive change management.
- Partner with technical writers to structure and refine documentation, ensuring consistency and accuracy in the document management system.
- Align all processes to the event taxonomy, recommending revisions as needed to strengthen incident readiness.
Mandatory Skills & Qualifications
- 2+ years’ experience in technical writing, policy, or procedure documentation.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex processes to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong research ability—can read, synthesize, and apply external standards to company-specific needs.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to support incident-related decision-making.
- Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders and driving adoption of new processes.
- Proficiency with office productivity tools (Docs, Sheets, Slides, or equivalent).
Nice-to-Have Skills & Qualifications
- Knowledge of business resilience concepts and incident management practices.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., BCI, DRI, ISO 22301).
- Industry experience in transportation, technology, or operations where resilience and incident management overlap.
