Job Summary: As the 1st shift Assembly Operator, you will perform assigned duties in a warehouse environment.
- Job Description
We are looking for a 1st shift Assembly Operator to perform duties related to assembly, using technical equipment, and meet standards for quality and productivity in a warehouse environment. This position will be a full-time and on-site in Mount Joy, Pennsylvania.
The 1st shift is Monday - Thursday 5:30am – 4pm
This position requires access to information which is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR) Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, person granted asylee status in the U.S., or person admitted into the U.S. as a refugee.
- What You'll Do:
Read and follow drawings/prints and work instructions
Become proficient in all assembly and special processes as required
Gather and record data accurately
Detect, correct errors and utilize company communication and quality methodology
Meet documented and communicated standards for quality and productivity
May be required to use technical equipment, for example comparator, microscope, and other measuring equipment
Cross-train in other departments as needed
What You'll Need
Required:
1-2 years of related work experience is preferable
Detail-oriented individual with multi-tasking abilities
Ability to work under general supervision
Can communicate clearly both written and verbally in English
Ability to work in a seated or standing position for extended period of time
Physical Demands:
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards
Occasional sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Work on powered and non-powered equipment (e.g. forklift, golf cart, pallet jack)
Maneuver packages / material of any weight with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person
Work from a secured ladder
Push, pull squat, bend and reach
Lift a minimum of 50 pounds
The pay for this position is $17.84 per hour (USD). Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will include medical coverage as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
