About the Role
Are you a detail-oriented trade compliance professional with a passion for accuracy, collaboration, and continuous improvement? Join our Customs & Trade Operations team as a Metals Compliance & Trade Operations Analyst, where you'll play a key role in ensuring regulatory compliance and operational excellence across our global supply chain.
In this position, you'll focus on metals compliance-specifically steel, aluminum, and copper-while supporting import/export operations and documentation. You'll work cross-functionally with procurement, engineering, and logistics teams to ensure all product data and declarations meet regulatory and business standards.
What You'll Do
- Ensure Metals Compliance: Analyze Bills of Materials (BOMs) to validate metal weights and material accuracy for finished goods.
- Support Trade Operations: Oversee import/export activities, customs documentation, and coordination with brokers.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with procurement and engineering teams to maintain data integrity and compliance alignment.
- Audit & Improve: Assist in auditing customs brokers, resolving discrepancies, and supporting internal/external compliance audits.
- Drive Projects: Lead small-scale projects to enhance trade operations, reporting, and process efficiency.
What You Bring
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Operations, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Technical Expertise: Solid understanding of metals (steel, aluminum, copper) within manufacturing or trade environments.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with import/export regulations, tariff classification, and customs documentation.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze BOMs, detect discrepancies, and ensure compliance accuracy.
- Tools & Systems: Experience with ACE or customs systems; proficient in ERP tools (SAP, Oracle) and MS Office.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, organization, and time management with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
- Project Management: Experience managing or supporting process improvement or compliance projects.
