As Executive Director - Investor Relations - Transfer Agency (IR), you will provide strategic leadership and oversight for the IR function within Alternative Investment Services (AIS). You will be responsible for setting the vision, driving the execution of key initiatives, and ensuring the delivery of best-in-class IR services to our clients and their investors. You will lead a high-performing team, champion change management, and partner with senior stakeholders across the organization to optimize processes, mitigate risk, and deliver on business objectives.

About Alternative Investor Relations Operations (IR)

Alternative Investor Relations Operations provides an end-to-end service offering to alternative investment clients (hedge funds, fund of hedge funds and private equity funds) and their investors.

Key Job

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and leadership for the IR team, ensuring alignment with AIS and CIB business objectives.
• Serve as the senior escalation point for complex client and investor matters, demonstrating deep expertise and sound judgment in resolving issues.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with senior client stakeholders, investors, and internal partners across AIS and the broader organization.
• Oversee and enhance the end-to-end investor relations operating model, driving innovation, process optimization, and risk mitigation.
• Lead large-scale change initiatives, including systems implementations, data migrations, and re-engineering projects, ensuring successful delivery and adoption.
• Champion a culture of client service excellence, continuous improvement, and operational rigor.
• Oversee the execution of regulatory and compliance requirements, ensuring robust controls and adherence to global standards.
• Drive the adoption and evolution of the "follow-the-sun" service model, ensuring seamless global service delivery.
• Lead the identification and remediation of risk areas, partnering with control functions and senior management.
• Develop and mentor senior leaders and high-potential talent within the IR team, fostering a culture of growth and accountability.
• Oversee the production and analysis of MIS/KPIs, using data-driven insights to inform strategy and decision-making.
• Represent IR in senior forums, cross-functional initiatives, and with external stakeholders as required.
• Ensure excellence in the documentation and governance of processes and procedures.
• Perform other strategic duties as assigned by AIS and CIB senior management.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in the alternative investment servicing industry, with deep expertise in investor relations, regulatory practices, and operations.
• Demonstrated track record of strategic leadership, managing large teams, and delivering complex change initiatives in a matrixed environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of hedge funds, asset classes, and fund structures, with a comprehensive understanding of industry products and trends.
• Proven ability to build and manage senior client relationships and influence at the executive level.
• Deep understanding of the regulatory framework and risk management practices relevant to the industry.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with experience engaging senior internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven outcomes.
• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or relevant professional qualification preferred.

Technical Skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Visio, Outlook).
• Experience with SQL and project management software (e.g., MS Project) is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of Hedge Fund Accounting/Investor Relations systems.

Position Demands

• Flexibility to work extended hours/weekends during integration/implementation of new business or systems, as well as during peak cycles (year-end, month-end, tax season, etc.).
• Willingness to work flexible hours to meet global operational needs.

Compensation

Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience, as well as the benefits package you select.
