Position: Financial Analyst

Prestigious NYC Law Firm seeks a Financial Analyst to join their Team!
Summary
The Financial Analyst will provide actionable, accurate, and professionally presented information to their own department and other internal decision makers in support of the Firm's initiatives, including the monitoring of financial / operational performance, trend analyses, and business development. This role will involve producing routine (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual) PowerPoint presentations and excel files depicting consolidated financial / statistical performance and profitability. This position will also interact with our larger Accounting team and contribute to the completion of periodic peer / bank surveys.
Responsibilities
- Compile and provide senior leadership with weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial review presentations and other ad hoc analyses
- Extract data from 3E, Master Data Hub (data warehouse), or other repositories for data queries or ad hoc analyses requested by your manager, other team members, attorneys (including Partners)
- Be first point of contact to provide data or analyses requests posted to a central request help distribution list
- Validate Power BI dashboard content and send notification email to constituents notifying them of recent updates and availability
- Work with the Accounting and Pricing teams to answer audit inquiries and complete benchmark surveys
- Create and modify SSRS reports / data threshold alerts as requested by attorneys and Business Service leadership
- Assist with the input, collection, and reporting of budget data in our matter budgeting software
- Iterate with Legal department leads on the completion of their annual business plans by providing and collecting supporting KPIs
- Work with attorneys by answering questions related to financial dashboards
- Assist partners by providing information and insights related to client/matter performance
- Assist with consolidating Firmwide budgeted components for Senior Leadership review, iterating with Department Leads, and preparing formal budget presentations for our Management Committee
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum 2 to 4 years experience
- Proficiency with Excel required, advanced skill-level preferred
- Proficiency with SQL required, advanced skill-level preferred
- Experience with SSRS preferred
- Experience with organizing, navigating, manipulating, and maintaining large data sets and extracts required
- Familiarity with Elite 3e preferred
