Position: Project Manager - II

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Project Manager - II to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of experience and a strong background in project management, particularly in fields related to Outside Plant (OSP) engineering, civil, environmental, or utility construction. This role involves managing project schedules, facilitating communication among stakeholders, and ensuring the successful execution of project objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain project schedules and calendars with input from assigned OSP engineers.
- Facilitate team meetings, providing meeting minutes and action items where needed.
- Build strong communication channels with internal stakeholders across various departments, including Sales, OSP Engineering (In-Franchise and Out of Franchise), Network Program Management, and Operations.
- Track tasks assigned to the project team and prepare regular status reports.
- Track project changes and produce updated schedules.
- Monitor and track project budgets.
- Gather and report performance measurements of ongoing progress.
- Ensure smooth communication within the project team and other cross-functional teams.
- Interface with internal and external stakeholders on a regular basis.
Qualifications:
- Understanding of Outside Plant (OSP) engineering and/or construction or experience in the field.
- Background in project management in a field related to civil, environmental, or utility construction.
- Ability to clearly articulate expectations and drive success.
Desired Skills:
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite of applications.
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or Visio.
Education/Certifications:
- Coursework in programs associated with project management or Outside Plant Engineering.
- PMPO certification is a plus.
