Job Summary
The Mammography Technologist operates digital (and analog) mammography equipment and performs procedures by positioning patients and preparing contrast medias to perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to assist the physician in diagnosis and treatment. It is expected that our Mammography Technologists have a comprehensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology of the breast.
Qualifications
Requirements
- Graduation from an AMA accredited Radiography program.
- ARRT credentialed Radiology Technologist.
- CT Radiographer license.
- Maintains continuing education units specific to mammography.
- Knowledgeable of a vast array of products for needle localizations and stereotatic biopsies.
