Senior Analyst, Transportation

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and analytical professional to assume the role of Sr. Analyst, Transportation to support data and analysis to optimize Duluth Trading's small parcel shipping network. This role includes focus on ensuring cost-effectiveness, improving service levels, and maintaining strong relationships with carriers.

- What You’ll Do: :
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Core and essential to the role, you will analyze large datasets to identify trends, track key performance indicators (KPIs) like on-time delivery and cost per package, and create reports and dashboards for management.
- Carrier Management: You'll work closely with parcel carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, USPS) to monitor their performance, resolve issues, and negotiate rates and contracts to secure the best pricing and service.
- Cost Management and Optimization: A major focus is on reducing shipping costs. This involves analyzing pricing models, auditing invoices for accuracy, and identifying opportunities for savings through network optimization, service-level adjustments, or negotiating better rates.
- Process Improvement: You'll identify inefficiencies in the parcel shipping process and lead projects to streamline operations, such as implementing new software, automating tasks, or improving data flow between systems.
- Support for Internal Teams: You'll provide analytical support to various departments, including operations, finance, and customer service, to help them make informed decisions and solve transportation-related issues.
- What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ Years of experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related area - Equivalent work experience will be considered
- Supply chain systems particularly rate shopping and TMS (transportation management systems). WMS (warehouse management systems) experience is not required but helpful in this role.
- Understanding of business operations and their relations to customer support
- Ability to identify process shortfalls and submit workable changes
- Experience in financial justification
- Experience in strong logical and analytical skills
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

- Position Compensation Outline
Compensation Range: $65,000 - $88,000/year
This position is eligible to participate in the company bonus program.
