Specialty unit. 34 beds staffed/capped at 21 currently (to grow with census). Typically staffed 3 RNs days, 3 RNs afternoon/evenings, 2 RNs nights. Nurse can gain valuable experience and clinical skills in a specialty unit. It's very gratifying to see progress and stabilization of the patient you don't always see with inpatient care. Good sense of team in the unit to keep everyone safe.
How you will contribute A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:
- Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
- Documents patient care given.
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
- Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

What we are looking for
Applicants should have a state of Michigan RN license and possess an associate degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's degree preferred).

- Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)
