Carlisle Weatherproofing Technologies (CWT) is a leading supplier of building envelope solutions that effectively drive energy efficiency and sustainability in commercial and residential applications. We are looking for a Site EHS Specialist located in our Maryland Heights, MO facility.
Job Summary
This position will be responsible for coordinating and executing the environmental, health, and safety activities that support the corporate initiative in the CPS manufacturing plants. This includes being directly responsible for the creation, adoption, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of the facility's environmental, safety, and health, as well as appropriate policies and procedures.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Oversee the EHS programs and initiate activities that will improve the level of personnel safety and health and environmental compliance.
- Develop and administer EHS training for all employees (if required, including outside sales personnel, office, )
- Follow incident management processes and conduct timely incident investigations and ensure timely reporting.
- Resource expert on EHS regulatory requirements, corporate policies and procedures and the adoption into SOP's and WI's.
- Create and execute employee training programs to reduce operational risks.
- Ensure that all corrective actions and recommendations are completed and communicated within the expected timeframe. Examples include the following: incident investigation actions, audit findings, maturity assessments, and safety committee
- Review and update the EHS policies and procedures in accordance with Company policies and in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines.
- Maintain WHMIS and GHS requirements for hazard communication and keep MSDS current.
- Coordinate Industrial Hygiene surveys as required (air, noise, ergonomics, )
- Ensure required EHS documentation is completed for all new processes, materials, and equipment including SOPs, JSA's, and Lock-out/Tag-out
- Coordinate operational First Aid training requirements and records.
- Review safety related documents and narratives such as Safety Committee minutes, inspection reports, forklift inspection checklists, accident investigation reports, and near miss reports
- Keep records of all employee training, corrections of unsafe conditions, and dates and results of workplace Maintain and submit documentation as required.
- Maintain all weekly, monthly, and yearly safety inspections
- Maintain all hazardous material and hazardous material area checks
- Management representative for ISO 14001 / 9001 certifications
- Oversee all yearly updates to the safety program, including the Safety Manual, Injury/Illness Prevention Plan, Emergency Procedures Manual, and the Emergency Contingency Plan
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities/Knowledge
- Minimum of valid certification for Standard Intermediate First Aid
- Effective written and verbal communication
- Knowledge of OHSA regulations and federal/local EHS regulations.
- Experience with formal problem solving and root cause

Education And Experience
