Principal Accountabilities
- Performing all aspects of sampling, monitoring, and testing required to maintain compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations governing the wastewater treatment process
- Performing routine and unscheduled maintenance and repairs on all wastewater and groundwater equipment
- Performing daily/weekly checks of monitoring equipment (samplers, probes, meters, etc.)
- Performing general cleaning and housekeeping throughout the Environmental Department’s area of operation
- Backfilling other positions/tasks as needed
- Completing daily wastewater lab testing and adjusting control inputs to the aeration system
- Operating the biogas system
- Entering data in excel spreadsheets and maintaining records
Required Qualifications
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Basic Computer skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Have high school diploma or GED
- Have valid Texas driver’s license
- Good attendance record
- Work weekends on a rotational schedule
- Lift a minimum of 40 lbs
- General working knowledge of basic machinery, preventative maintenance, and repair
- Work effectively in a team environment and also have the ability to take independent action in a timely manner using good judgement with minimum supervision
- Successful candidate will be required to take wastewater and water classes and obtain both (Wastewater and Water Operator licenses) within ONE YEAR of employment
