      The Retail Replenishment & Inventory Management Specialist will support the recruitment, training and development of retail Computer Generated Order (CGO) personnel including, but not limited to: CGO Coordinators, Store Management and Department Managers. The ideal candidate must possess a working knowledge of the CGO, Store Transfer, Direct Store Delivery, Backdoor Receiving, Store Inventory, Reduction Label, Hand Held Devices, Store Shrink, Production Planning, and related promotional systems, as well as a basic understanding of the Wakefern operating culture and store operations. This knowledge must be at a level which enables the Specialist to develop, facilitate and maintain these systems both in the Wakefern and Member environments via training, system installation, and support the continual evolution and improvement of the process and technologies. This associate will conduct store visits to ensure that department standards and processes are in place to deliver consistent execution and financial results by leading and coaching for improvement.

      What you’ll do

      • Coordinate all necessary functions across all Divisions for the installation and operation of CGO and related systems in new/existing Stores.
      • Responsible for the development of the new store timeline, including the creation of all CGO orders and deliveries with the Stores’ management staff, Outside Vendors and appropriate Wakefern Divisions.
      • Provide training and guidance to all levels of Store Management, Wakefern Staff, Outside Vendors and their Associates as it relates to CGO System Maintenance and Reporting.
      • Evaluate CGO, inventory management, production planning and related system operations at Store Level and identify training needs and areas of opportunity to improve Wakefern/Store operations/conditions. Implement required training and develop comprehensive planning for integrating best practices to store needs.
      • Work with Store/Wakefern Associates and Outside Vendors in analyzing, developing, piloting and implementing system enhancements for inventory management related systems.Provide training for Store/Wakefern Associates and Outside Vendors on system enhancements as needed.
      • Develop informative updates, training materials and presentations for Store Associates, Wakefern Staff and Outside Vendors as requested.
      • Possess the ability to interpret, understand and react to the needs of the Members as they relate to CGO, Store Transfer, DSD Backdoor receiving, Store Inventory, Hand Held devices, Reduction Label, Production Planning and store operations.
      • Ability to analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) e.g.: Shrink, GP, Sales, and Inventory $. Etc.
      • Communicate all issues and problems daily through verbal and electronic methods to R&I Department Manager or Appropriate Wakefern Division, and insure problems are resolved.
      • Responsible for formal and informal communications including:
      • Updates and presentations to Wakefern Staff, User Groups and Outside Vendors.
      • Training materials as assigned.
      • Responsible for providing weekend on call support coverage as scheduled.
      • Available to work 6th and 7th day when scheduled.

      What we’re looking for

      • Four-year college degree is preferred.
      • Minimum 3 years in store management, supervisory or CGO experience
      • Expertise in Retail Operations process and reports
      • Expertise in various CGO reports to help identify opportunities to store personnel
      • Ability to train and coach associates at store level in all areas of CGO and inventory management
      • Strong technical, analytical, leadership, customer service and PC skills as demonstrated by previous experience
      • Knowledge of retail store operations related to sales, gross profit, shrink, labor requirements and retail merchandising
      • Proficiency in taking and reviewing SI inventory
      • Well-developed oral and written communication skills including the ability to write and deliver both informal and formal presentations to various audiences
      • Ability to work in fast paced environment, with demonstrated ability to multi-task and resolve problems effectively and efficiently.
      • Proficient in Rapid, MicroStrategy, Metafile, Production Planning, ARIA and Ad Management
      • Must be proficient in the following PC programs: Word, Excel, Powerpoint with ability to be trained on our consumer data warehouse.
      • Valid driver’s license and a good driving record
