Production Maintenance Manager
Role Summary
This is a hybrid Production/Maintenance position responsible for managing the daily Operation and Maintenance activities to improve Safety, Quality, Productivity and Equipment Reliability in the area.
Role Responsibilities
- Manage load center for efficient effective Operation and Maintenance of all product handling, conveying equipment, palletizers, stretchwrappers and Laser Guided Vehicles LGV.
- Manage activities associated with center equipment and maintain setup job history information on that equipment.
- Interact with production and maintenance employees assigned to the load center in order to ensure efficient reliable operation of all load center equipment.
- Act as a liaison between production and maintenance employees to ensure they are communicating and working together to maximize the load center operation.
- Implement continuous improvement processes through problem solving planning and corrective actions.
- Ensure good housekeeping practices in order to meet plant and customer expectations.
- Must ensure that all personnel under supervision practice good safe working habits.
- Direct counsel and train employees as needed to include standard operating procedures and policies.
- Ensure proper use of the Asset Reliability Management program as it relates to operation
- Preventive and predictive maintenance and the prioritization scheduling of work orders.
- Act as part of the plant maintenance weekend rotation therefore a strong engineering maintenance aptitude is required.
- Comply with Environmental and Food Safety standards as set forth in plant policies/programs within Department responsibilities.
Role Requirements
- Ideal candidate will possess a minimum of an Associate's Degree in an engineering field or a High School Diploma with five 5 years engineering or maintenance experience and at least two 2 years of prior management experience.
- Must have very strong communication skills with good team dynamics and possess strong planning and organizational skills.
- Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Must be computer literate in spreadsheets and Microsoft Office.
