Description
Compass Healthcare Consulting & Placement is conducting a search for a Staff Attorney, for an opportunity for a Non-Profit Group assisting with Elder Care with office located on beautiful campus in Riverdale, NY. Qualified candidates will have a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and an active law license in New York State, required. Experience in non-profit, Elder Care, Senior Housing and Protection Services, a plus!

Position Overview
We are seeking a full-time, in-person Staff Attorney to join our multidisciplinary team in Riverdale, NY. This role will involve direct legal services, shelter resident advocacy, and court appearances across NYC and Westchester (Family, Housing, and Supreme Court).
Key Responsibilities
- Develop legal strategies in collaboration with social workers and other professionals
- Coordinate and deliver trainings and outreach to professional audiences
- Assist with grant writing and reporting
- Engage in policy and legislative work on elder justice issues
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners, agencies, and law enforcement
Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate and admission to practice in New York State (required)
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Experience in elder abuse, domestic violence, or victim advocacy (preferred)
Compensation
- Annual Salary: $83,000-$100,000
