Clinical Specialist
Description
Partnered with an exciting, start-up in the Cardiovascular Medical Device field. They are seeking a high-performing Field Clinical Specialist to join a rapidly growing team focused on the detection and treatment of microvascular obstruction (MVO) within Percutaneous Coronary Intervention.
This role is ideal for an individual highly skilled and familiar with the Cath Lab and Coronary Intervention. Ideally one who is passionate and knowledgeable on Angioplasty, STEMI, ICD, interventional-focused cardiology. This person should thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment as you cannot predict a heart attack.
In this position, you'll drive adoption of a groundbreaking FDA-cleared device that can deliver therapeutic agents locally to improve microvascular flow-prolonged dwelling time enhances drug efficacy.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify (in conjunction with the site PI's) and train the required staff in order for the site to safely use Technology and ensure site achieves "independence to operate"
- Develop strong relationships with physicians, lab staff, and nurses
- Fits standard PCI workflow, utilizes existing guidewires, and integrates easily into Cath lab using touch-screen PCs or mobile carts
- Deliver ongoing training and education to the centers on a broad range of cardiovascular topics including updates on scientific data, clinical trial updates, congress activity
- Provide basic product training to staff and support in-lab usage
- Monitor the centers for compliance to trained procedure and capture any deviations to the protocol.
- Travel frequently (car) within the assigned territory
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant life science or healthcare field, master's degree preferred.
- Relevant experience Clinical Field Trial Specialist, Field Technical Specialist or similar in the medical device/pharmaceutical industry or clinically trained with cardiac catheter lab experience
- Proven experience in proctoring/training/education
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 60-80 % within country and potentially international
- Highly steady and stable medical technique (post-heart attack)
