Accounting Assistant Jobs in New York, NY

Our client a very stable distribution company is seeking an Accounting Clerk to join its accounting team. The company offers strong benefits, productive environment and an opportunity for advancement. This role is great for an experienced bookkeeper looking to work in an accounting department with support or a recent college graduate with an internship or some accounting or bookkeeping experience. 

The responsibilities include:

• The role will work closely with the controller and support the accounting operations of the company.
• Support accounts payable, and receivables. 
• Prepare cash flow and credit reports for senior management.
• Trouble shooting customer inquiries regarding billings and receivables. 
• Maintain files of completed invoices and schedules. 

Requirements

• 1+ year accounting experience. 
• 4-year degree preferred but not required.
• Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks experience a plus.
