This role enables a 360° view across IT by connecting portfolio management, business engagement (BRMs), and enterprise priorities—driving disciplined governance, performance transparency, and executive decision-making. **How you'll make an impact** **Core Accountability Pillars** 1. **IT Business Office, PMO & Portfolio Management (35%)** - Lead the **IT Business Office and PMO functions** as the operational backbone of IT - Cross-program dependency management and execution oversight for all Project and Program managers creating a centralized PMO - Integrate with **Business Relationship Managers (BRMs)** **and Portfolio Management (PPM)** to ensure demand alignment with business priorities - Drive connection between **IT strategy, portfolio roadmap, demand-capacity management and execution delivery** - Standardize **program governance, reporting frameworks, and delivery discipline** - Deliver **enterprise-level reporting and executive updates** **Outcome:** A fully integrated, strategy-aligned portfolio with predictable and disciplined execution 2. **IT Finance & Value Realization (25%)** - Own IT financial governance, including **budget planning, forecasting, and variance management** - Drive **investment prioritization and portfolio trade-offs** aligned to strategic objectives - Establish **ROI tracking and benefits realization discipline** across all major programs - Lead cost optimization initiatives to **reduce low-value spend and improve productivity** - Deliver **transparent financial reporting and insights** at portfolio and executive levels **Outcome:** Strong financial discipline with clear linkage between spend and business value 3. **Strategic Integration & Executive Alignment (20%)** - Orchestrate a **360° enterprise view of IT** by integrating: * Strategy * Portfolio execution * Financial performance * Business demand (via BRMs) - Own and drive **Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and IT Deep Dives** with CIO, CEO, and CFO - Provide **single-pane-of-glass insights** to support executive decision-making and trade-offs - Ensure alignment between **enterprise priorities and IT delivery commitments** 4. **KPI / OKR Management (Performance Engine) (10%)** - Own end-to-end **OKR lifecycle** (definition, alignment, tracking, reporting) - Establish and govern **standardized KPI frameworks** across delivery, operations, cost, quality, and business outcomes - Maintain a **single source of truth for IT performance dashboards** - Drive structured **monthly and quarterly performance reviews** with leadership - Provide proactive **insights, risk signals, and escalation triggers** to CIO **Outcome:** Transparent, measurable performance with clear traceability from strategy to execution 5. **IT Risk, Compliance & Enterprise Interface (10%)** - Oversee IT’s **risk and compliance posture** (security, audit, regulatory, policy adherence) - Ensure **timely closure of audit findings and proactive risk mitigation** - Act as the **primary interface between IT and global enterprise functions** (Finance, Risk, Operations, etc.) - Coordinate **enterprise-level decisions, escalations, and governance forums** - Ensure alignment with **enterprise IT policies, standards, and regulatory expectations** **Outcome:** Strong governance, reduced risk exposure, and seamless enterprise alignment **Key Cross-Cutting Responsibilities** - Trusted advisor to CIO on **strategy, operating model, and execution priorities** - Drive **operating model maturity** (federated model alignment, decision rights, governance clarity) - Ensure **high-quality executive communication** (board-level, CEO/CFO updates) - Foster a **data-driven, accountable performance culture across IT leadership** **About You** - 15+ years experience across **IT strategy, PMO, finance, or transformation leadership** - Strong combination of **strategic thinking, financial acumen, and execution rigor** - Proven ability to operate and influence at **CIO/CEO/CFO levels** - Exceptional **structuring, communication, and stakeholder orchestration skills** **Compensation and benefits** At Gallagher, we believe supporting our colleagues goes far beyond the role itself.
