- * + Schedule: Monday to Friday

    + Hours: 3/12s - 7:00pm - 7:30am

    + Weekends - Coverage ass needed.

    + Service - Labor and Delivery

    + **Responsibilities**

      - Cesarean sections, D&C, tubal ligations, extensive cervical or vagina lacerations repairs, occasional cystoscopies, hysterectomy occasionally.

The Labor and Delivery department at Barnes-Jewish Hospital is a 23-bed unit with spacious labor, delivery, and recovery suites which adds to the soothing, safe and exceptional patient experience.

**Preferred Qualifications**  

**Role Purpose**

Performs surgical duties for operating room procedures under the direct supervision of a registered nurse.

**Responsibilities**

- Prepares operating room for surgical patient, reviews preference cards to determine surgeon needs, obtains the necessary supplies and equipment for the procedure, ensures cleanliness of room, and assists with opening sterile supplies.
- Performs surgical scrub duties, and assists with the collection, identification, and disposition of cultures and specimens.
- Assists in turning over of room, and ensures supplies, instruments, and equipment are returned to proper location.

**Minimum Requirements**

**Education**

- High School Diploma or GED

**Experience**

- <2 years or military equivalent experience

**Supervisor Experience**

- No Experience

**Preferred Requirements**

**Education**

- Accred Surgical Program

**Licenses & Certifications**

- Surgical Technician
