## Description

Our practice, **Oral Surgery Group**, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented

**Sterilization Technician** to join our team! This is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about healthcare and committed to maintaining the highest standards of patient care.

As a **Sterilization Technician**, you will play a vital role in ensuring a safe and sterile environment for our patients and surgical team. Your responsibilities will include maintaining, sterilizing, and organizing surgical instruments and equipment to support seamless oral surgery procedures.

**What You'll Do:**

The **Sterilization Technician** will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our Oral Surgeons throughout various surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

- Use ultrasonic cleaners, autoclaves, chemical disinfectants, and other sterilization methods to ensure all surgical

instruments are properly sanitized

- Track and manage surgical instruments and supplies, ensuring everything is clean, sterile, and ready for use

- Thoroughly clean and disinfect instruments, treatment areas, and equipment before and after each patient procedure

- Adhere to sterilization protocols and OSHA, CDC, and industry safety regulations

- Perform regular checks to ensure the sterility of instruments and equipment Document sterilization - processes and

maintenance logs

- Assist in setting up surgical trays, instruments, and materials for procedures

- Monitor and schedule maintenance for sterilization equipment to ensure proper functionality

- Work closely with the clinical and administrative team to ensure seamless workflow and a safe environment for both

patients and staff

- Perform any and all other duties as assigned

**What You’ll Bring:**

- High school diploma or equivalent required

- Knowledge of oral surgery procedures, instruments, and materials preferred, but willing to train the right candidate

- Familiarity with infection control protocols and safety measures

- Ability to multitask and work in a fast – paced environment

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and patient-centered approach

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

- Proficiency in dental software and computer literacy
