If you’re passionate about making a meaningful difference, thrive in a collaborative and diverse environment, and are ready for a career that transforms lives-including your own, STRIDE is the place for you. **Work Schedule** PRN, as needed This PRN Pharmacist position provides supplemental coverage to support pharmacist PTO, leave coverage, and increased workload demands as needed, helping ensure continuity of pharmacy services and patient care. **General Purpose**: A Pharmacist ensures efficient and accurate dispensing of medications, counsels’ patients on medication therapy, supervises pharmacy technicians and oversees all areas of pharmacy services and operations. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities**: - Evaluates prescriptions for completeness, accuracy and appropriateness for patients age, weight, diagnosis and treatment. - Advises prescribers and patients on drug therapy management, including formulary alternatives, drug interactions, side effects, indications and usage. - Responsible for the ordering, storage and handling of pharmaceuticals. Maintains pharmacy inventory and supplies following department budget. - Follows policy and procedure for detecting and reporting pharmaceutical errors and incidents. Assists in developing policy and procedure for prevention of future errors. - Supervises pharmacy technicians in entering prescription and patient demographic information, filling prescriptions and filling clinic and vaccine orders. - Supervises disposal of outdated drugs and returns expired vaccines to manufacturer for credit. - Supervises and manages payment transactions and follows cash handling policies and procedures. - Collect data and prepares reports for the Pharmacy Manager as needed. - Complies with all federal and state laws, rules and regulations governing pharmacists and pharmacy practice. - Perform other duties as assigned **STRIDE Values:** - Community: All are welcome at STRIDE - our patients are the center of our work. - Trust: Our patients feel safe, empowered, and supported. - Value: We respond to patients' needs by providing effective, affordable care. - Compassion: We treat patients with kindness, empathy, and dignity. **Education and Experience:** - **Required:** BS degree from accredited school of pharmacy. - **Required:** Colorado Pharmacist license in good standing. - **Required:** Active BLS certification. **Skills and Expertise:** - Ability to interact positively and build rapport with patients, coworkers and/or external contacts. - Ability to work independently and organize work in a manner that ensures accuracy and efficiency. - Ability to demonstrate the capability to effectively and sensitively respond to the needs and concerns of the full range of STRIDES diverse patient population. - Customer service skills, including the ability to diffuse upset patients. - Ability to identify barriers to performance of others and provide coaching, training or other assistance to remove those barriers. - Ability to handle sensitive information ethically and responsibly. - Ability to protect the confidentiality of patient, employee and business information. - Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions quickly. **Required Tools of the Job:** - Microsoft suite and various audio/video platforms - Internal and external IT ticketing systems - EPIC health information records system **Working Environment and Physical Activities** Office environment within a clinical Pharmacy setting. Enters data into computer programs via computer, mouse, and keyboard. Moves about the Pharmacy environment and occasionally to other locations. Moves/transports objects up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
