The team focuses on building scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions through collaborative engineering, iterative development, and continuous improvement. Team members engage in full lifecycle software delivery, integrating AI/ML components and leveraging advanced engineering practices. The team prioritizes measurable business impact, technical excellence, and proactive problem-solving while fostering knowledge sharing and innovation to support Walmart's strategic objectives and enhance customer experiences. ## **What You'll Do** - Own the delivery of scoped features and components through collaborative engineering teams, ensuring alignment with platform and system objectives. - Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code across multiple programming languages, driving the full software development lifecycle, including CI/CD and automated testing. - Integrate AI/ML components and leverage generative AI tools to enhance software capabilities and development efficiency. - Participate in solution design, conduct code reviews, and apply best practices for building scalable, secure, and maintainable systems. - Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements and measurable outcomes. - Monitor application performance, support defect resolution, and ensure high-quality software delivery. - Mentor peers, promote continuous improvement, and contribute to engineering excellence and innovation. ## **What You'll Bring** - Strong experience with **GCP cloud technologies** and programming languages, including **Python, Scala, Java, and Shell scripting**. - Proficient in **Apache Spark, Hive, MapReduce, Airflow, REST APIs, and GraphQL**. - Strong experience building scalable and robust applications using **Big Data technologies**. - Hands-on experience building **event-driven data processing solutions** and **real-time streaming applications** using **Apache Kafka**. - Experience with transactional Big Data platforms such as **Cassandra** and **BigQuery**. - Experience leveraging **AI tools throughout the SDLC lifecycle**. - Capable of building **AI agents** for business and engineering use cases. - Skilled in writing complex **SQL, Spark SQL, Hive, and NoSQL queries** for large-scale data processing. - Experience building and integrating **stream-based data pipelines** with **RESTful APIs** and **GraphQL services**. - Experience with scripting languages, including **Python and Shell scripting**. - Proficient in **Java backend development** with strong programming skills; candidates should possess both **Big Data and Java expertise**. - Experience handling and triaging complex production issues.   At Walmart, we offer competitive pay as well as performance-based bonus awards and other great benefits for a happier mind, body, and wallet.
