The team is committed to continuous improvement, ensuring high performance and developer productivity while maintaining cost-effective and secure solutions aligned with business objectives. **What you'll do:** - Design, develop, deploy, test, automate, maintain, and enhance products, tooling and system solutions for cloud-based infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code such as Terraform, CI/CD tools, Kubernetes, and scripting with languages like Python - Huddle, collaborate, and parachute into codebases with developers - Review design/code and provide feedback to ensure best practices are followed - Contribute to and maintain existing documentation including educational content, system architecture diagrams, post-mortems, and runbooks - Participate in weekly support rotations where you will be the front line for helping developers with one off requests - Present DevOps concepts across engineering - Triage application and system issues - Contribute to scrum process improvement; mentor team members; manage project priorities, deadlines and deliverables **What you'll bring:** - 5 years of experience with software development; fluent in multiple programming languages - 2 years of experience in large-scale infrastructure design, development, deployment, and maintenance; experience in distributed systems and networking - Deep understanding of cloud-based infrastructure and tools e.g. GCP/Azure - Experienced with Docker, Argo, Helm, Terraform, and Kubernetes - Able to create automation pipelines quickly and with care - In-depth knowledge of networking, security, observability, operating systems, and incident management concepts - Understands SRE principles; has DevOps mindset - Enjoys pair programming with other teams and is willing to work in another team’s codebase and respect their space - Experience in debugging complex problems and problem-solving under pressure; enthusiastic about taking on new problems At Walmart, we offer competitive pay as well as performance-based bonus awards and other great benefits for a happier mind, body, and wallet.
