This opportunity provides hands-on safety oversight for electrical construction activities while supporting a workforce of approximately 75-85 craft personnel. The Safety Manager will maintain a strong field presence while working directly with project leadership, supervision, and craft personnel to ensure compliance with safety requirements and reinforce safe work practices throughout the project. --- ## Required Qualifications ✔ OSHA 510 Certification ✔ Minimum 5+ years of construction safety experience ✔ General construction safety experience ✔ Strong knowledge of fall protection requirements ✔ Experience conducting field inspections and hazard assessments ✔ Ability to maintain a highly visible field presence and engage with crews --- ## Preferred Qualifications ⭐ Commercial Construction Experience ⭐ Electrical Construction Experience ⭐ Stadium, Sports Facility, or Public Venue Experience ⭐ CHST, ASP, CSP, STS-C, or Other BCSP Credential ⭐ Experience leading subcontractor safety efforts ⭐ Strong incident investigation and corrective action experience --- ## What You'll Be Doing - Provide daily field safety oversight for electrical construction activities - Maintain a highly visible presence throughout active work areas - Conduct routine site inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments - Monitor fall protection compliance and PPE usage - Support approximately 75-85 craft workers onsite - Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), permits, and pre-task plans - Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific safety requirements - Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate timely corrective actions - Provide field coaching and reinforce safe work practices with craft personnel - Coordinate safety activities with project management and supervision - Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation - Maintain required safety documentation, inspection records, and compliance reports --- ## Technical Knowledge Candidates should have working knowledge of: - OSHA Construction Standards - Commercial Construction Safety - Electrical Construction Safety - Fall Protection Systems - Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Programs - Hazard Recognition & Risk Mitigation - Material Handling Operations - Aerial Lifts & MEWPs - Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) - Incident Investigation & Corrective Actions - Contractor Safety Management - Construction Risk Assessment & Mitigation --- ## What Success Looks Like The ideal candidate is a **hands-on, field-focused safety professional** with a strong general construction background and the ability to effectively engage craft personnel throughout the workday.
