This is an independent, field-based position for a technician who enjoys diagnosing problems, solving challenging equipment issues, and working directly at customer jobs sites rather than spending every day in a shop. You'll work on a wide variety of construction and industrial equipment while having the support of an experienced service team, parts department, technical resources, and manufacturer training behind you. Our road technicians typically service customers within an average 100-mile radius of our Muncy location and are equipped with the tools and resources needed to succeed in the field, including a company service vehicle, company-paid fuel, laptop, cell phone, and other field-service equipment. **What You'll Do:** - Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, service, inspect, and maintain all types of construction, landscape, heavy, aerial, industrial, agricultural, and fleet equipment. - Travel to job sites and customer locations to perform duties. - Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel-related problems. - Use diagnostic equipment, schematics, service manuals, and technical resources to identify equipment issues and determine the appropriate repair. - Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, repairs, and equipment adjustments. - Communicate professionally with customer regarding equipment condition, repairs, and recommended service. - Complete service documentation, work orders, warranty claims, and related paperwork accurately. - Work independently while maintaining communication with the service department and other Best Line team members. - Stay current on new equipment, technology, diagnostic procedures, and manufacturer requirements. **What We're Looking For:** We're looking for a technician who can diagnose and solve problems independently and is comfortable working in the field. *Required:* - At least 2 years of experience in a comparable mechanical/technical field. - Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills. - Ability to work independently and manage field service calls effectively. - Strong communication and customer-service skills. - Valid Driver's License. - Valid DOT medical card or ability to obtain one. - High School diploma/equivalent or equivalent industry experience. *Highly Valued Experience:* - Construction or heavy equipment - Diesel engines and combustion systems - Hydraulic systems - DC electrical systems - Electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting - Diagnostic computers and scan tools - Schematics and technical/service manuals - Warranty claims and service documentation **What makes this role different:** - $30.00 - $40.00/hour, based on experience, technical ability, and certifications - Overtime opportunities during peak periods - Company Service Vehicle-with take home priveledges - Company-provided uniforms - Boot and tool reimbursement - Paid online and manufacturer/factory training - Some on-call responsibilities may apply. - Full-time position, averaging 40-50 hours per week. - Rotating Saturday shift (approx. 1 per month). - Limited on call commitment (approx. 1 week per month). - Paid on-line and factory training benefits as well. **Benefits Include:** - Medical, Dental, Vision, and Prescription - 401(k) with partial company match - Short- & Long-Term Disability - Basic and supplemental life insurance - Employee Assistance Program - Employee Discount - Paid vacation, sick time, and holidays **Why work at Best Line?** For over 40 years, Best Line Equipment has been family-owned, and that still shows in how we treat our people.
