Aeromotive is looking for a mechanically skilled, customer-focused **Repair Technician** to join our team in Lenexa. If you're a mechanic or technician who loves diagnostics, you'll put those skills to work repairing and testing the fuel pumps, regulators, and other high-performance fuel system products that racers, builders, and car enthusiasts across the country count on. This is a hands-on role with real ownership. You'll be the go-to expert behind our repair program-finding the root cause, restoring products to production standards, and helping customers understand exactly what went wrong and how we fixed it. If you have assembly, repair, or service technician experience and take pride in quality work, we want to hear from you. **Pay:** $21.50/hour (paid weekly) **Location:** On-site in Lenexa, KS **Schedule:** Monday–Friday, day shift; some weekend work required # **Why Aeromotive?** - **More than 30 years of performance.** Aeromotive has been engineering and building high-performance fuel systems right here in Lenexa for over three decades; trusted by drag racers, street builders, and off-road enthusiasts. - **A family of performance brands.** We're part of a growing group that includes PerTronix, JBA Performance Exhaust, Doug's Headers, and Taylor Cable Products, which means stability and room to grow. - **Work you can be proud of.** The products you repair go back into customers' race cars, street machines, and project builds. - **We'll train you.** You'll get hands-on training on our products, test stands, and repair processes. - **Car culture is part of who we are.** From company events to car shows, our team shares a passion for performance. # **What You'll Do:** ## **Diagnosis & Repair** - Diagnose product failures through inspection and testing, and identify the root cause of each issue. - Repair Aeromotive, Waterman, and VaporWorx products in accordance with established production standards. - Operate test stands and related equipment to verify that repaired products meet all performance and quality requirements before release. - Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. ## **Warranty, Quoting & Documentation** - Receive and check in incoming repairs, and maintain accurate, well-organized repair records. - Evaluate warranty eligibility using the product manufacture date and the customer's proof of purchase. - Prepare repair recommendations and quotes based on diagnostic findings. - Process paid-repair and warranty documentation, including invoices, shipping labels, and tracking information. ## **Customer Communication & Coordination** - Explain failures found, recommended repairs, pricing, and completed work to customers clearly and professionally. - Coordinate repair status and technical updates with Technical Support and Customer Service. - Help manage the weekly repair schedule and promptly communicate any changes or delays. # **What We're Looking For** - Strong mechanical aptitude and a knack for troubleshooting to the root cause-not just replacing parts - Clear, professional communication, including the ability to explain technical findings in plain terms - Organized and detail-oriented across repairs, testing, documentation, and shipping - Able to work independently and collaborate with Production, Technical Support, and Customer Service - Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic - Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs ## **Preferred Qualifications** - Prior experience as an assembly, repair, service, or automotive technician, or in a similar hands-on mechanical role - Experience with automotive, performance fuel system, pump, electrical, hydraulic, or other mechanical assemblies - Experience preparing service estimates, repair quotes, work orders, or customer-facing repair recommendations - Experience using test equipment or production test stands - High school diploma or GED # **What You'll Get** We take care of our team-starting with your first month. ## **Pay & Schedule** - **$21.50/hour, paid every week** by direct deposit - **Overtime pay** – opportunities to earn more when extra hours are available - **Monday–Friday day shift** – no overnight shifts ## **Time Off** - **9 paid holidays** every year, including floating holidays - **80 hours of paid time off** in your first year ## **Health, Security & Retirement** - **Medical, dental, and vision insurance** – coverage begins the first of the month after hire, with no long waiting period - **Company-paid life insurance and long-term disability** at no cost to you - **Employee Assistance Program (EAP)** – free, confidential support when you need it - **401(k) with a 3% Safe Harbor company contribution** to help you build for the future ## **Perks** - **$100/month tax-free food credit** at our on-site Company Kitchen - **40% employee discount** on company products, including Aeromotive and PerTronix - **Employee referral bonus** – earn up to $500 for referring friends who join the team - **Company events**, including car shows *Aeromotive reserves the right to modify, amend, or terminate benefits at any time, with or without notice.* # **Important to Know** Employment is contingent on successfully passing a background check.
