Possibly will also work in contracted long-term care facilities. You will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients for disorders of the nervous system, independently or as part of a healthcare team, in the clinic setting. Job Description: Clinical Duties: - Obtain, analyze, and interpret patients' histories, symptoms, physical findings, or diagnostic information to develop appropriate diagnoses. - Evaluate patients through exams, history, and tests to diagnose and treat conditions such as epilepsy, stroke, multiple sclerosis, and Parkinson's disease. - Order, interpret, and analyze neurological tests, including MRIs, CT scans, EEGs, and lumbar punctures. - Prescribe and administer treatments, monitor patient progress, and adjust medication as needed. - Detect and respond to adverse drug reactions. - Counsel patients and their families on neurological disorders, treatment options, and long-term health management. - Perform follow-up visits to monitor patients or evaluate health or illness care. - Collaborate with primary care and specialty providers to ensure continuity and coordination of care. - Provide consultative support to other providers in the clinic and affiliated facilities.
