### WHAT DOES A HOMEMAKER DO?

As a Homemaker, you help clients maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe home while assisting with everyday household needs.

Your responsibilities may include:

**Meal Preparation**

- Planning simple meals

- Preparing and serving meals

- Cleaning up after meals

- Helping with grocery shopping

- Purchasing food and household supplies

**Light Housekeeping**

- Dusting and wiping surfaces

- Vacuuming

- Mopping floors

- Cleaning kitchens

- Cleaning bathrooms

- Washing dishes

- Taking out trash

- Keeping commonly used areas organized

**Laundry & Household Tasks**

- Washing clothes

- Folding and putting away laundry

- Making and changing beds

- Changing linens

- Organizing household items

**Errands & Daily Support**

- Grocery shopping

- Picking up household supplies

- Accompanying clients on errands when appropriate

- Providing companionship

- Helping clients maintain their daily routines
