If you are dependable, compassionate, and looking for a unique overnight opportunity where you can make a meaningful difference, our **Overnight Sleep Shift DSP** position may be a great fit. **Summary** This is a **scheduled overnight sleep shift from 10:00 PM to 9:00 AM**. During the shift, employees remain on-site at one of our residential locations and are permitted to sleep when Participants are settled and no support is needed. Employees must remain available throughout the entire shift and be prepared to wake up and respond promptly if a Participant needs assistance or if an emergency, health concern, behavioral situation, or other unexpected issue occurs. Sleep Shift DSPs are responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of Participants throughout the overnight hours and assisting with necessary evening or morning routines as assigned as well as the Medication Passes in the morning. This position is ideal for someone who is comfortable sleeping on-site while remaining responsible and available should Participants need support overnight. **The Role** As an Overnight Sleep Shift DSP, you will: - Remain on-site and available throughout the scheduled 10:00 PM–9:00 AM shift - Sleep on-site during designated overnight hours when Participants are settled and no assistance is required - Wake and respond promptly to emergencies, Participant needs, health concerns, behavioral situations, or other overnight issues - Support Participants with evening and morning routines as needed - Assist Participants with activities of daily living while promoting independence and dignity - Follow individualized care plans and established support strategies - Administer medications as assigned and in accordance with certification requirements - Monitor Participant health, safety, and well-being and report concerns appropriately - Complete required documentation and electronic records accurately and promptly - Document incidents, overnight activity, and significant Participant needs when applicable - Communicate relevant information to incoming staff and members of the residential team - Follow emergency procedures and established health and safety protocols - Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive residential environment **Qualifications** - High school diploma or equivalent - Must be available to attend scheduled daytime training sessions intermittently throughout the first 120 days of employment, in addition to the RISE Program * Must complete the Lambs Farm RISE Program and all required onboarding and role-specific training * Must be previous DSP certified or be willing to complete the state certification in addition to the RIDE program * Training sessions will occur outside of the employee's regularly scheduled sleep shifts, however sessions will be scheduled in advance * Must remain in compliance with all DSP training and certification requirements - Must maintain or obtain all required Medication Administration certifications and authorizations - Must maintain CPR, First Aid, crisis intervention, and other required certifications - Ability to remain on-site for the entirety of the overnight shift and respond immediately when needed - Ability to wake from sleep and safely respond to Participant needs or emergencies - Previous experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities preferred - Proficiency in writing, speaking, and understanding English - Ability to appropriately handle and prepare food for Participants when required - Comfortable supporting Participants who may become ill and following applicable health and safety protocols - Physically capable of assisting Participants, including lifting, transferring, and moving individuals as required, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds - Valid driver's license with a clean driving record - Strong communication and teamwork skills - Ability to adapt to changing Participant needs and unexpected situations - Commitment to confidentiality and safeguarding Participant information **Computer Skills** - Accurate typing and data entry skills - Proficiency in navigating websites and using web-based applications - Ability to use word processors and spreadsheet software - Competence in managing emails and digital communications - Familiarity with digital communication etiquette and techniques - Experience with or ability to learn electronic health record (EHR) systems, such as Therap, Epic, or Allscripts. ### **Compensation** The hourly rate for this role is $15.00 per hour ***This position is scheduled from **10:00 PM to 9:00 AM** and is designated as an overnight sleep shift. The hourly pay is reflective of such.
