## Description

## Overview

**Position:** Occupational Therapist - Hand Therapist

**Location:** Aliquippa and surrounding areas

**Schedule:** PRN (Maternity Leave Coverage) Flexible Schedule (Monday - Friday)

**Compensation:** Hourly, $40.00 - $55.00/Hr, commensurate with experience

**NovaCare Rehabilitation** is seeking a **PRN** **Hand Therapist-Occupational Therapist** for our outpatient orthopedic center! Although a certified hand therapist (CHT) is preferred, we are willing to consider occupational therapists with a level II fieldwork in hands (required). We have a network of hand therapists and CHTs available for support and are excited to mentor occupational therapists aspiring to be a CHT.

## Responsibilities

- **Collaboration:** Supervise assistants and aides and contribute to case management.
- **High Standard of Care:** Stay current and up to date with occupational therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception).
- **Personalized Treatment:** Provide comprehensive and individualized treatment, from evaluating and creating a plan of care to treatment and discharge.
- **Relationship-Building:** Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients. Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff.

## Qualifications

**Minimum Qualifications:**

- Graduate of an American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) -accredited school of occupational therapy
- CPR certification
- Valid driver’s license

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- At least two years of experience in the application of custom splinting pre and post-op orthopedic
- Minimum two years in adult rehabilitation; hand and splinting experience preferred
