Recognized as a Top Children's Hospital by The Leapfrog Group and backed by a growing pediatric network, we're proud to make a difference in the lives of children and families every day while helping shape the future of children's healthcare. **FTE:** 1.0, **Shift:** Day, **Schedule:** Primarily Monday- Friday, occasional evening and weekend hours may be required. **Locations:** This position will support our Mary Bridge Pediatric Outreach, Specialty, Urgent Care, and Primary Care Clinics and may be assigned in the following locations: \* Gig Harbor \* Tacoma \* Auburn \* Covington \* Federal Way \* Renton \* Puyallup \* Olympia \* Silverdale **Position Summary** The Medical Receptionist is the first in-person point of contact for a patient on behalf of the medical practice. They are responsible for all aspects of front office duties assigned by a clinic. Duties include variations of, receptionist duties—greeting patients, answering phones and directing calls, assisting patients/families; scheduling, registration, charge entry, payment posting, batch balancing, cash reconciliation/balancing, operating several types of basic office equipment, etc. This is an intermediate level position requiring excellent customer service skills. It is highly visible, requiring discretion, good judgment, a pleasant and professional manner and articulate phone voice. Internal and external contacts include patients, families, co-workers, physicians and the general public. **Requirements** - Post high school office procedures preferred - Minimum one (1) year of clerical and/or receptionist experience; or six (6) months in a medical setting - Customer service experience - Degree or relevant Certificate (e.g., Medical Office Assistant, Medical Assistant, Health Unit Coordinator) may be substituted for experience **Where kids and families are always first** Everything we do starts with a commitment to children and families. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.
