## Description

Broadway Cannabis Market, where our motto is Premium Without the Price, is a recreational and medicinal cannabis dispensary chain across the greater Portland area. We are seeking a qualified applicant for a Lead Budtender/Keyholder position at our SW Clay location.

The Lead Budtender/Keyholder is responsible for ensuring all opening/closing procedures are executed completely, leading daily floor operations, and directly supporting customers and staff.

**Responsibilities and Duties:**

*The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.*

Core Budtender Duties:

- Greet customers, verify age/legal ID, and advise on suitable cannabis products based on customer needs, preferences, budgets, and strain effects.
- Educate customers on safe cannabis use and stay updated on new products, consumption methods, and industry trends.
- Process customer payments using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Correctly weigh, package, and label cannabis products in strict accordance with OLCC regulations.
- Ensure the dispensary floor and check-in area remain clean, organized, and well-stocked with cannabis and non-cannabis products.
- Process, fulfill, and close online and delivery orders.
- Monitor procedure updates and maintain daily communication on Slack.

Lead Budtender/Keyholder Leadership Duties:

- Complete opening/closing checklists and securely manage keys for the front door, cage, and product cabinets.
- Assign POS drawers to staff, ensure register assignment compliance, balance bank change, track change count logs, and execute end-of-shift cash/tip drops.
- Oversee customer returns, de-escalate difficult customer situations, and answer complex product questions.
- Manage break and lunch schedules for Budtenders and supervise staff in the absence of the Assistant or General Manager.
- Monitor stock levels continuously, enforce "End of Jar" and "New Strain on Floor" protocols, and communicate inventory needs to the Inventory Department.

**Qualifications and Skills:**

- Must be 21 years of age or older (required)
- Must have a valid Oregon Marijuana Worker Permit (required)
- High school diploma or GED;
- General knowledge of cannabis;
- Knowledge of OLCC sales limits;
- Customer service skills;
- Ability to work quickly and accurately;
- The ability to stand for long periods of time;
- The ability to lift up to 25 lbs.;
- The ability to adapt to changing circumstances without notice;
- Must be able to understand and comply with safety regulations;
- Must be able to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and written;
