We are professional, while staying true to our Alaskan roots and commitment to the personal touch. **POSITION:** Junior Facility Maintenance in Bethel, Alaska ***This position requires significant climbing, kneeling, reaching, standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping and repetitive movement*** You will be a junior technician assisting Senior Facilities Technicians and involved in the overall upkeep of our station in Bethel. Ranging from minor repairs to preventative maintenance and projects, you will ensure the upkeep of the facilities, contributing to smooth daily operations. Additionally, you will assist our Ground Support Equipment (GSE) team as needed on vehicle and heavy machinery repairs. We are looking for a motivated, honest, and reliable junior technician who makes safety a priority and has a desire to contribute to a safe work environment. This is a Full-time position and you will reside in Bethel. **Key Responsibilities:** - Promoting a safe working environment by following all safety procedures. - Assisting in initiating and completing tasks such as installation, repair, patch and paint of walls, ceiling, and floors. - Repairing damaged office furniture. - Installing building insulation. - Assisting with scheduled maintenance of furnace and boiler units. - Trimming doors, windows, baseboard and inspecting facility units. - Assisting as needed on vehicle and heavy machinery repairs to support station operations. - Reporting hazardous conditions. **You ideally possess:** - An eagerness to learn the repair of material handling equipment and automated conveyor systems, HVAC, electric, construction and more. - A foundational understanding of predictive and preventative maintenance procedures. - Basic knowledge of metal and wood fabrication. - An aptitude for blueprint and electrical schematic reading. - Familiarity with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Safety standards. - Experience in customer service (1 year). - Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is a plus. - The ability to use power and hand tools. - Knowledgeable in utilizing computers to maintain logs, inventories and purchasing records. - Ability to lift and/or move 100 lbs as well as stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation. - Current Driver's License (Prefer applicants 25 years of age or older due to insurance requirements). **You ideally possess:** - Experience with metal and wood fabrication - Experience in customer service (1 year). - The ability to use power and hand tools. - Knowledgeable in utilizing computers to maintain logs, inventories and purchasing records. - Ability to lift and/or move 100 lbs as well as stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation - Current Driver's License (Prefer applicants 25 years of age or older due to insurance requirements) **Physical Demands** - Repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, sitting, standing, and walking - Lifting parts and tools weighing on average 20 pounds, occasionally weighing up to 49 pounds - Dexterity in eye/hand coordination, feet (foot pedals) manual (picking, pinching, holding, grasping), and wrist motion (repetitive flexion/rotation) - Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, inside/outside noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours and wet or uneven surfaces **Your Perks:** - Medical, dental, and vision. - Company-paid life insurance and AD&D. - PTO and paid holidays. - Flight benefits. - 401(k) program. - Employee assistance program. - HSA for qualified plans. - Voluntary life insurance and AD&D. - Voluntary short- and long-term disability. - Voluntary accident, critical illness, and hospital indemnity. **Grant Aviation** is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
