Fleet Associate I**

The **Fleet Associate I** is responsible for executing repairs, preventative maintenance, and safety inspections to ensure all Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles (WAV) and Electric Vehicles (EV) are road-ready, compliant and safe to operate. This role emphasized vehicle safety, drivability, ADA compliance, and accurate documentation while maintaining high fleet standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and in-house repairs according to fleet standards to ensure vehicles are safe, reliable, and fully drivable.

- Inspect and troubleshoot WAV accessibility and mechanical systems to ensure ADA compliance and safety, complete approved non-powered repairs, and promptly escalate safety-critical concerns.

- Create, update, and close work orders independently with clear documentation and photos, confirming vehicles meet road-ready standards prior to release.

Key Responsibilities:

- Retrieve, stage, and track parts accurately in the fleet system, notifying supervisors of lower inventory or delivery discrepancies.

- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant work environment while following general shop safety procedures.

- Coordinate with Fleet Technicians, Leads, and vendors as needed, and provide guidance to Fleet Associate I staff when appropriate.

General Skills & Qualifications:

- Strong leadership and team coordination skills.

- Strong communication skills for effective internal and external collaboration.

- Excellent problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement in learning.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and showcase the ability to take initiative, value collaboration, and become highly adaptable.

- Expert organizational management ensuring a strong focus on workflow structure.

- Strong hands-on approach with a willingness to tackle problems when faced with various tasks.

- Be able to quickly learn new applications, software, and dashboards as adopted and used within the company.

- Must have an active driver’s license and be approved on the company’s insurance.

- Able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance as needed.
