The Financial Counselor understands precisely how to verify patient coverage so that Elica can bill properly for Medical, Dental, Behavioral Health. The Financial Counselor has knowledge of Medi-Cal eligibility requirements, navigating BenefitsCal, Healthcare Option, DHA and other local programs and is able to educate patients and prospective patients and assist them in their application and renewal process. The Financial Counselor is a part of the Resource Center, but works in close contact with the Eligibility Team. The Financial Counselor attends all meetings that apply to the eligibility processes to know all news and updates in their field to give feedback when working with patients.
