**PT Opportunity - Days 8:30 am - 3:00 pm**

***Dishwasher / Lavaplatos:***

The Steward/Dishwasher is an essential part of the Club's Culinary Team and plays a key role in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, efficiency, and high service standards of the kitchen and surrounding culinary areas.

This position requires a dependable, hardworking, organized individual, and takes pride in maintaining a clean and well-prepared environment. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to jump in and assist wherever needed are essential to success in this position.

The Steward/Dishwasher is responsible for the proper cleaning, sanitizing, organization, storage, and inventory of cookware, dishware, glassware, silverware, serving equipment, and kitchen tools. This position will also assist the Culinary Team with basic food preparation, product receiving and storage, and other kitchen duties as needed.

***Primary Responsibilities:***

- Maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, organization, and overall appearance of the culinary kitchen and surrounding areas in accordance with Club standards and applicable health and sanitation requirements.
- Operate the commercial dishwasher safely and efficiently, following proper procedures for loading, washing, sanitizing, unloading, and storage.
- Properly organize and return all cookware, dishware, glassware, silverware, platters, chafing dishes, utensils, and equipment to their designated storage locations.
- Clean, polish, and disinfect stainless-steel surfaces and equipment throughout the kitchen, including shelving, dish cabinets, ice machines, sinks, coffee stations, refrigerators, walk-in coolers/freezers, and other designated areas.
- Maintain clean and orderly kitchen workstations, storage areas, receiving areas, and surrounding culinary spaces.
- Sweep and mop kitchen floors, receiving area, and trash areas.
- Collect trash from kitchen areas, empty garbage barrels, wash and re-line with new bags.
- Assist with basic food preparation and other culinary tasks as directed by the Chef or Culinary Management Team.
- Maintain a professional, respectful, and team-oriented approach when working with fellow employees, Club members, guests, and vendors.

***Required Qualifications & Attributes:***

- Valid driver's license required as applicable to Club operations.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable with a strong work ethic.
- Well organized and able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to assist others of the Culinary Team and take initiative when additional support is needed.
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers; English language proficiency is helpful.

***Desired Qualifications:***

- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in a private country club, hotel, restaurant, or other hospitality environment is a plus.
- Familiarity with commercial dishwashing, kitchen sanitation, food-safety practices, and proper handling of culinary equipment.
- Ability to maintain composure and productivity during periods of high business volume, special events, tournaments, and member functions.***Wage:*** $17.00 - $18.00 / Hour

***Position:***Part-Time, Variable, Non-Exempt position.

 

***Schedule:*** Monday - Friday for training, moving to Tuesday - Saturday. Hours 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Individual schedules will vary based on Club operations, business volume, tournaments and/or event needs.
