The role is responsible for administering and sustaining F5 web application firewall (WAF) and application security solutions, configuring and tuning security policies and signatures, troubleshooting application security controls, and supporting the integration of cybersecurity infrastructure. **Key responsibilities include:** · Administer, maintain, and support F5 web application firewall (WAF) and application security solutions. · Configure, manage, and tune application security policies and signatures to support enterprise application protection. · Analyze cybersecurity requirements and recommend appropriate web application security controls. · Troubleshoot web application firewall functionality, security policies, and application protection mechanisms. · Support the integration of F5 application security solutions with enterprise cybersecurity infrastructure. · Evaluate and maintain application security configurations to support operational and security requirements. · Assist with identifying and resolving issues affecting web application security and infrastructure performance. · Support ongoing cybersecurity engineering, administration, and sustainment activities within DoD environments. · Must be a U.S. citizen. · Minimum seven (7) years of relevant IT experience. · Experience administering and maintaining web application firewall and application security technologies. · Experience supporting cybersecurity infrastructure, security control integration, and application protection. · Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance required at the time of proposal submission, pending confirmation of the conflicting clearance language in the source requirements. · Must meet IT-I Critical Sensitive / Tier 5 (T5) security investigation requirements at the time of proposal submission. · Must satisfy both of the following Department of Defense Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) qualifications at the Intermediate level: o Primary: DCWF 521 – Cyber Defense Infrastructure Support Specialist. o Secondary: DCWF 441 – Network Operations Specialist. · Candidates may satisfy each DCWF qualification through an approved education, training, or certification pathway, as applicable under DoDM 8140.03. · Qualifying education, training, or certifications must be recognized for the applicable DCWF work role and proficiency level. A credential that qualifies for both roles may potentially satisfy both requirements. · Must be able to work onsite at the DLA facility in Columbus, OH or Richmond, VA, unless an alternate worksite is authorized. **Preferred Qualifications** · Experience administering F5 Advanced WAF and/or Application Security Manager (ASM) in enterprise environments. · Experience supporting application security and protection within DoD environments. · Knowledge of HTTP/TLS analysis, network traffic analysis, and application security technologies. **Certification Requirements** The following certification is mandatory and must be held at the time of submission: · F5 Certified Technology Specialist – Application Security Manager (ASM) Candidates must also satisfy the DCWF 521 and 441 Intermediate-level qualifications described above.
