## Description

At **Anacortes Health & Rehabilitation of Cascadia Healthcare**, we’re dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality, skilled nursing and rehabilitation care that supports our residents in living their best lives. We’re looking for a dependable and team-oriented **Culinary Aide / Dishwasher** to support our dining services team. In this role, you’ll help prepare and serve meals while ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming kitchen environment for our residents, staff, and guests.

**What You’ll Do**

- Assist with food prep, including beverages, salads, desserts, and other menu items
- Serve meals and snacks in a timely, accurate, and appealing manner
- Follow proper food safety and sanitation standards at all times
- Ensure food is prepared and served at correct temperatures
- Support meal delivery to designated areas according to schedule
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment using proper procedures
- Keep kitchen, dish area, and workspaces clean and organized
- Label, date, and store food items correctly
- Monitor and log food, refrigerator, freezer, and dishwashing temperatures
- Assist with receiving and storing food and supplies
- Help maintain inventory and report low stock to leadership
- Use equipment safely and report any maintenance needs
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and other departments
- Provide friendly, respectful interactions with residents, families, and team members

**What We’re Looking For**

- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices (or willingness to learn)
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written)
- Dependable with strong attendance and punctuality

- Pay Range: $18-$21/hour (depending on experience)

**Education**

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

**Licenses/Certification**

Food Handlers Permit, if required per state regulations.

**Experience**

Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred.

Experience in food service is desired.
