## Description

The Prep Cook supports the culinary team by preparing ingredients, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring kitchen readiness for service. This entry-level role provides the foundation for developing cooking skills and gaining exposure to a professional kitchen environment.

**Key Responsibilities**

- Wash, chop, and prepare ingredients according to recipes and chef instructions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep stations, coolers, and storage areas.
- Label, date, and properly store food items to maintain freshness and safety.
- Assist cooks and chefs during service by providing prepped ingredients and basic tasks.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures.

**What We’re Looking For**

- 1+ year previous kitchen experience is preferred.
- Ability to read and accurately follow recipes and kitchen tickets.
- Basic knife skills and knowledge of food handling.
- Ability to follow directions and work efficiently on a fast-paced, high volume production line
- Food Handler’s Certification (or ability to obtain).
- Ability to manage a designated workstation while maintaining quality, cleanliness, and organization.
- Consistently prepare menu items according to recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce consistent results during busy service periods.

**Physical Requirements**

- Stand/walk for extended periods (up to 8–10 hours).
- Lift, carry, or move up to 50 lbs. regularly.
- Work in hot, cold, and humid environments.
- Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching.
