If you take pride in preparing delicious, nutritious meals and want to be part of a team that truly cares, we’d love to hear from you! **You will be cross trained between both buildings!** **Position Type:** On-Call **Wage Range:** $20 - $22 / hour depending on experience **Location: Apple Valley Village Health Care Center** 14650 Garrett Ave, Apple Valley, MN 55124 **Apple Valley Villa** 14610 Garrett Ave, Apple Valley, MN 55124 **Cook Responsibilities:** - Deliver exceptional service to residents by providing fast, friendly and excellent customer service to all guests. - Prepare and cook all meals to ensure adherence to recipes and quality standards. - Observe and report on low stock or high-demand choices. - Observe and report on resident change of condition or changes in ability. - Participate in meetings and required training to maintain regulatory standards of food service at the community. - Inspect kitchen for conformance to government and company safety and sanitation requirements. - Perform additional tasks as needed.**Cook Qualifications:** - 1+ years of commercial cooking/ food preparation experience required. - Selected candidates are required to pass background checks. - Must be able to read and follow recipes. - Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment. - Ability to stand for length of shift. - Prior dining/ serving experience a plus! - Baking experience a plus! **Cassia Benefits (On-Call):** - Competitive Pay with experience-based raises - Employee Assistance Program with free confidential counseling/coaching for self and family members - ESST – Earned Sick and Safe Time **About Us:** **Apple Valley Village Health Care Center** is a 162-bed long-term care and rehabilitation campus providing a full continuum of care, supporting both short-term rehab patients and long-term residents with compassion and excellence.
