Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM  
Pay: $14.00 per hour + performance bonus opportunities

Build customer service, collections, and account resolution skills in a full-time call center job.

Berlin-Wheeler, Inc. is hiring a Collections Specialist - Call Center to join our team in Topeka. In this collections and customer service job, you'll make outbound calls, speak with consumers about past-due accounts, explain payment options, and help resolve account balances in a professional and respectful way.

This job may be a strong fit for people with experience in collections, call center, customer service, customer support, sales, billing, banking, accounts receivable, retail, insurance, or other phone-based jobs. You do not need extensive collections experience to get started. Paid training is provided.

**What You'll Do**

- Make outbound calls regarding past-due accounts
- Speak professionally with consumers about account status and resolution options
- Listen carefully to understand each consumer's situation
- Negotiate payment arrangements within established guidelines
- Explain payment options clearly and accurately
- Document conversations, account activity, and payment arrangements
- Protect confidential information
- Follow company policies, procedures, and applicable collection laws and regulations
- Provide respectful, solution-focused customer service during difficult conversations

**What We're Looking For**

- Comfortable speaking with people by phone throughout the day
- Professional, respectful, and confident communication skills
- Strong listening and problem-solving skills
- Motivation to work toward goals and measurable results
- Comfort discussing payment options and account resolution
- Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn new systems
- Dependable attendance and reliability

**Helpful Experience** Collections, call center, customer service, customer support, sales, inside sales, account management, accounts receivable, billing, banking, insurance, retail, financial services, telemarketing, or other high-volume phone environments may transfer well to this job.
