In this role, you will design, implement, automate, secure, and sustain enterprise cloud environments across **Amazon Web Services (AWS)** and **Microsoft Azure**. You will serve as a Tier 3 cloud engineering resource, providing advanced technical leadership, troubleshooting, and operational support for mission-critical infrastructure and applications that directly support federal defense missions. This position is ideal for a cloud professional with deep expertise in cloud architecture, infrastructure automation, security, and enterprise operations within complex, large-scale environments. *US Citizenship is required* **US Clearance**: Active DoD Secret clearance or higher is required to be considered. **Position Location:** Ft Meade, MD **Salary Range:** $155,000 to $170,000. **What’s in it for you:** - Join a premier technology firm specializing in innovative solutions. - Be part of a collaborative, inclusive, and innovative work culture. - Enjoy tremendous growth potential in a high-performing team environment. - A robust benefits package: * Health, dental, and vision insurance * Life insurance * Short-and-long term disability * Paid time off (PTO) * 401k retirement plan with employer match * Annual Professional Development Reimbursement Program * And more!   **What you will do:** - Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure solutions across **AWS** and **Microsoft Azure** environments. - Deploy, manage, and optimize **Infrastructure as Code (IaC)** solutions using automation and orchestration tools. - Support enterprise cloud modernization efforts, including the migration of on-premises applications, services, and workloads to cloud environments. - Troubleshoot and resolve complex **Tier 3** cloud infrastructure, networking, identity, and application-related issues. - Collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, operations, and architecture teams to ensure cloud solutions align with enterprise standards, security requirements, and mission objectives. - Contribute to the design and architecture of highly available, resilient, and scalable cloud environments. - Develop, implement, and maintain **CI/CD pipelines** and automated deployment processes to improve operational efficiency. - Implement and enforce cloud security best practices and compliance requirements in accordance with **DoD** and Federal cybersecurity frameworks. - Monitor and optimize cloud environments to improve performance, reliability, availability, and cost efficiency. - Create and maintain technical documentation, engineering standards, operational procedures, and system runbooks. - Support continuous service improvement initiatives to enhance cloud operations, user experience, and overall platform performance within the **Defense Enclave Services (DES)** environment. - Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior engineers and operations personnel. **What you will bring:** - Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of relevant experience, or Master's degree and 10+ years of relevant experience; additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree. - Hands-on experience designing, deploying, and supporting enterprise cloud solutions in **AWS** and/or **Microsoft Azure** environments. - Experience with **Infrastructure as Code (IaC)** tools such as Terraform, ARM/Bicep, or AWS CloudFormation. - Experience implementing automation solutions using tools such as Ansible, PowerShell, Azure Functions, or similar technologies. - Experience developing and maintaining **CI/CD pipelines** and working within DevSecOps environments. - Understanding of **Identity and Access Management (IAM/ICAM)** technologies, including Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), Okta, CyberArk, or similar platforms. - Strong knowledge of cloud networking, virtualization, storage, and security principles. - Familiarity with Federal cybersecurity and compliance frameworks, including **NIST**, **FedRAMP**, and **FISMA**. - Experience supporting enterprise production environments in an Operations & Maintenance (O&M) capacity. - Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional and distributed teams. - Current **DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification** (e.g., Security+, CISSP, CySA+, CCNA-Security, or equivalent). - Active **DoD Secret Security Clearance** or higher. - **U.S. Citizenship required.** **How you will wow us:** - AWS, Azure, or other cloud certifications. - Experience supporting **DISA**, **DoD**, or other Federal enterprise environments. - Experience leading cloud migration, modernization, or hybrid cloud initiatives. - Strong Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, and DevSecOps experience. - Knowledge of Zero Trust, ICAM, and Federal cybersecurity frameworks. - Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, or similar container platforms. - Familiarity with Jira and Confluence. - Experience with enterprise monitoring, logging, and cloud governance tools. - Proven ability to solve complex technical challenges and drive scalable solutions. - Passion for mentoring teammates and sharing technical expertise.
