## Description

**CAD ENGINEER**

Sytech is a Precision Metal Fabrication company, the Cad Engineer position is responsible for designing products using computer-aided design software applications such as AutoCAD, Pro/ENGINEER, and SolidWorks. Designs products, creates and tests prototypes, and oversees other drafters. They also work with other teams to develop and improve tools and programs, and to ensure that designs are safe and meet regulations. This is a unique position, and we require this individual to be flexible and willing to always keep the external customers in mind; while maintaining Quality of Workmanship, Safety, Accountability, and Teamwork, which is vital to our mission.

**Responsibilities include but not limited to:**

· Design frameworks for a project.

· Work with industrial and packaging engineers to develop, manufacture, and market a product.

· Analyze, design and build business/technical solutions that deliver the client’s goal.

· Create detailed design documentation.

· Estimate time and costs required to complete project.

· Code and test software.

· Define, create and maintain development methodologies, procedures and standards.

· Create drawings in both 2 and 3-dimensional form.

· Design floor plans, elevations, and realistic renderings with the help of software.

· Create designs for medicine, automotive, electronics, and the home.

· Aid in the selection of materials for the products.

· Produce final design specifications.

· Supervise assistant drafters and other workers involved in the project design.

**Educational Qualification:**

· Associate degree or higher preferred or equivalent experience will be considered.

· Experience: At least 6 years of experience using SOLIDWORKS

· Master CAM experience is a plus.

· Experience with Design for Manufacturability & Assembly (DFMA).

· Proficient in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), motion analysis, and interference analysis.

· Experience with rendering is a plus.

· Experience in creating Engineering Bill of Materials for complex assemblies.

· Strong knowledge of electromechanical system drawings (e.g., wiring schematics, terminal blocks, panel layouts, cabling etc.).

· Experience with design standards & model-checking.

· Experience with MIL standards.

· Strong understanding of top-down modeling principles and practices.

· Experience with complex surfacing modeling.

· Extensive experience in complex castings, stampings, forgings, and injection molds.

· Proficient in handling sheet metal and weldment designs.

· Ability to read component layouts and isometric drawings.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

· Technical skills: provides accurate, neat, and thorough work; pursues training and professional development; and strives to continuously build knowledge & skills and share expertise with others.

**Environmental Exposure**

· Manufacturing metal fabrication environment.

· Office area, exposure to hot or cold temperature when working in areas of the building that cannot be temperature controlled (especially during summer months).

Bi-weekly payroll periods
