## Description

**Behavioral Technician (BT) – Job Posting** **Full-Time | ASD Waiver Services | In-Home & Community-Based**

We are seeking a reliable and motivated **Behavioral Technician (BT)** to serve as a **Life Skills Coach (LSC)/Community Mentor and Job Coach** for individuals receiving Connecticut ASD Waiver services. This is a full-time, direct-support role providing in-home and community-based services to multiple clients.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, values consistency and structure, and understands the importance of following individualized plans and professional boundaries.

Covering Naugatuck, Wallingford, Chesire, Westbrook, and Clinton areas.

**What You'll Do**

- Provide direct in-home and community-based supports aligned with each individual's Individualized Service Plan (ISP)
- Support daily living skills, routines, communication, self-advocacy, and community integration
- Implement existing behavior support strategies as written, without modification
- Work with multiple clients throughout the week to ensure consistent service delivery
- Complete, clear, timely documentation in accordance with ASD Waiver and agency requirements
- Communicate observations and updates to the Program Manager professionally and promptly
- Communicate observations and updates to the clinician (BCBA) professionally and promptly
- Maintain respectful, professional relationships with individuals, families, and team members
- Follow all agency policies related to safety, confidentiality, and service delivery

**What This Role Is Not**

- This is not a clinical position
- This role does not include creating or modifying behavior support plans
- This position does not supervise other staff

**Qualifications**

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Experience working with individuals with ASD or developmental disabilities preferred
- Ability to work independently while following written plans and supervision
- Strong reliability, organization, and communication skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required

**Schedule & Work Expectations**

Work hours vary based on client needs and operational demands and may include irregular, extended, or non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

This position is full-time and scheduled across multiple clients rather than assigned to a single individual.
