Since 1936, we've built our reputation as one of the most respected MRO providers in the country by combining cutting-edge facilities, highly skilled teams, and a culture of excellence. **What would you do as a Procurement Specialist?** As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for the timely and cost-effective sourcing of aircraft parts, materials, and supplies that support maintenance operations. Your ability to procure the right parts, manage supplier relationships, and maintain inventory visibility directly impacts aircraft downtime, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Working closely with maintenance, materials distribution, shipping/receiving, and finance teams, you will help ensure materials are available when needed while supporting profitability and quality objectives. **Responsibilities of this position include:** - Source and procure aircraft parts and materials from approved vendors to support MRO operations. - Place purchase orders promptly based on parts order sheet submissions. - Ensure timely follow-up on order confirmations, delivery schedules, and backorder resolutions. - Negotiate with vendors to secure competitive pricing, favorable terms, and timely delivery. - Escalate pricing discrepancies, shortages, and delays in accordance with established procedures. - Coordinate warranty claims and core return activity with vendors and internal stakeholders. - Maintain accurate purchasing and supplier records within ERP and MRO systems. - Support inventory management efforts through min/max evaluations and inventory replenishment. - Communicate expected delivery dates and potential shortages to internal customers. - Track supplier performance and support continuous improvement initiatives. - Help achieve and maintain parts margin objectives on assigned work orders. - Perform other duties as assigned. **Top candidates will possess:** - Strong procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience. - Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Solid math and analytical skills, including margin and markup calculations. - Ability to work under pressure and meet critical deadlines. - Experience working with ERP systems and the ability to learn new software platforms quickly. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel. - Positive attitude and team-oriented approach to problem solving. - Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams. **Education and Experience:** **Required** - High school diploma or equivalent. - 1-2 years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience. - Experience using ERP systems in a business environment. - Ability to work onsite in Moline, IL. **Preferred** - Aviation procurement experience. - Experience supporting aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) operations. - Pentagon2000 experience. - Familiarity with FAA Part 135 and Part 145 operations. - Experience sourcing aircraft parts and managing supplier relationships. - Experience supporting procurement functions across multiple industries. **Schedule** - Typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. - Occasional schedule adjustments may be required based on business needs. - No travel required. **Physical Requirements** This position is primarily office-based. Occasional support may be requested within materials distribution or warehouse operations.
